There is extensive coverage of this comical conference convened by BHL about Syria. Apparently, `Ammar Al-Qurabi did not attend. A representative of the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood attended (although the former leader of the Brotherhood, `Ali Al-Bayanuni, criticized the participation). Lama Atasi (I never heard of her), and a representative of `Abdul-Halim Khaddam also attended (`Abdul-Halim Khaddam is the most despised Syrian living in exile and many opposition figures and members boycott him. I heard of the account from a well-known Syrian figure in exile: he says that Khaddam sent his son but he told him that his father had to account for his crimes before he expect people to cooperate with him.) And a Kurdish person was invited and he spoke. Apparently, an Arab women stood up early in the conference and said: where are the Syrians? I only see Zionists. She was escorted out by security. The crowd apparently also mocked the Zionist pronouncements and the natives were barely allowed to speak as Zionists dominated the proceeding.
