armed groups in Syria

The Syrian regime media keep peddling stories about the "armed criminal gangs" in the country.  Yet, no one I communicated with in Syria (neither Syrians or reporters) has actually seen those armed groups.  They must then be invisible: or visible only to the eyes of Syrian regime propagandists.
