Aljazeera standards

Aljazeera today, in its main news show, said that Bashshar Al-Asad described Syrian protesters as "germs."  I am the last person to ever defend Bashshar Al-Asad but he never described protesters as germs. He said in that lousy speech of his that conspiracies against Syria spread like "germs".  It is now easy to make any claims regarding Bashshar.  Even Anthony Shadid said today:  "After Mr. Assad warned of germs in the body politic..." Equally inaccurate.  Do we throw away accuracy when it comes to leaders who are detested by the US?  You see my problem with Aljazeera is not political: it is purely professional. The channel seems to have tossed away professional standards and accuracy.  The old Aljazeera would never have committed this mistake.
