Radwa `Ashur is my hero

I met this courageous Egyptian intellectual only once in Berlin.  I have admired her before and after I met her.  She has been ill and that explains her absence during the Egyptian uprising.  She is back and is noting that many of the symbols of the Mubarak regime are still around and hosting TV shows and writing columns.  I will never forget when she described to me her feelings when Anwar Sadat was assassinated.  She told me that she was nervous at first fearing that if the assassins were Palestinians that the regime would use that to launch a war on the Palestinians (she is married to a Palestinian and had to leave Egypt for years during the Sadat years).
