Bashshar Al-Asad never fails to disappoint.  What bothers me more about him is that for an autocrat under pressure by his people he still comes across as arrogant.  He has no sense of humility.  He acts as if he is freely elected by his people (in fact, Adonis in his open letter to him, acted as if Bashshar was elected).
