Thomas Friedman

I should not bother with this guy.  Look at this silly piece today.  Notice that he describes Hamas leaders as "demented".  I am no fan of Hamas but would a columnist in the New York Times dare describe Israeli leaders as "demented"?  And then this:  "That is what is most striking about the Arab uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia in particular. They were almost apolitical. They were not about any ideology."  Can you imagine? He describes a popular movement to overthrow a regime and dismantle the security apparatus as "apolitical".  And even in foreign policy, why has there been a shift in several elements of rhetoric and policies in Egypt if the uprising was not ideological or was not about foreign policy.  Oh, and tell the Zionists like Friedman that the new Egyptian foreign minister had a lengthy discussion by phone with the Iranian foreign minister. I know that it will make them weep more for Mubarak. (thanks Ora)
