Ethan Bronner cites "analysts"

"but there were also signs of official support in Lebanon and Syria, where analysts said leaders were using the Palestinian cause to deflect attention from internal problems."  In another section in the paper, we learn that the "analysts" were none other than anonymous Israeli propagandists and a Syrian fellow in Washington, DC who told Shadid that his "analysts" told him that Syrian regime hauled the buses.  It is so easy to critique the Times not from a political perspective--way too easy--but from the perspective of basic introductory standards of journalism.
