Education in Pakistan

"The rise of religious and sectarian violence in Pakistan has often been attributed to the rise in the enrolment in madrassas. However, the study found that enrolment in madrassas was as low as 1 per cent while there is an explosion in the private education sector.  Therefore, given the rising levels of violence and intolerance in Pakistani society, it is erroneous to believe that madrassas are the only promoters of a curriculum laced with bias and hate, the study suggests."
