There is no better example of the colonial nature and discourse of present-day international relations than the regular reports by the office of the secretary-general regarding the UNSC 1559. Of course, the reports are all written by the fanatic Zionist Terje Rod Larsen. If the Lebanese government respects itself--which it has not since independence--it would put an end to this flagrant interference in its minute internal affairs. I was reading the latest report: it leaves no matter of Lebanese domestic politics that it does not offer an opinion about. There is a special UN representative in Lebanon who basically follows-up the matter of Zionist demands on Lebanon. We learned from Wikileaks that those individuals basically serve as informers for the Israeli government. But then again: this is Lebanon. No one protests and no one insists on sovereignty--even minimal sovereignty--for Lebanon.
