NYT covers Syria from Maryland and Washington, DC

Read this: NYT relies on a guy from Maryland, and another from DC to report on developments in Syria.  The New York Times seems to agree with the Syrian government: that the protests are the work of "outside conspiracy" (a guy in Maryland, according to this story).
