It is the season: defending Arab oil repression

Notice how often now that one reads articles in praise of Arab oil monarchies.  It is all because they are on good terms with Israel and because they serve US interests.  "I have never encountered a place in the Arab world so well-governed as Oman, and in such a quiet and understated way."
