Information pollution

There was a show on Syrian state TV today about information pollution.  They brought in an expert who warned parents of the dangers of the "internet".  He parents should be very careful about what their kids see because there have been documented cases of young men who were normal and who surfed the web but that upon stumbling on certain "polluted" websites, turned into terrorists.  When I heard that, I got scared and wished that my mother is around in the US so that she can monitor my web activities.
