Western governments and their lies (and the lies of their media)

When the US was preparing for war on Iraq in 2003, we were told that Iraqi army is one of the best in the world and that it is well-trained and well-equipped.  Only later, were we told the truth: that it was a lousy army and that only the Republican Guards were relatively well-equipped.  Similarly, when Qadhdhafi was the enemy of the US before 2003, we were told stories about his massive weapons and his formidable army.  Now, you read in the Western media that he really has a rag-tag army and that the only well-armed people are his thuggish sons.
