Intrigues and conspiracies of the 1950s and 1960s

When Malcolm Kerr referred to politics in 50s and 60s as being fun, he must have been referring to conspiracies, plots and intrigues.  I have a feeling that we will now be witnessing so many plots, conspiracies and intrigues.  Hitherto, there were one-sided US/Israeli plots and conspiracies.  The show will now be more entertaining but I worry that innocent blood will be spilled.
