As far as propaganda is concerned,

The Libyan dictator has been more effective in his propaganda than the Tunisian or Yemeni or Egyptian or Bahraini dictator.  He gave some of his most effective speeches of his career, in fact.  He proved to be less withdrawn as a dictator than the other dictators.  His TV is another story: it insists on showing a demonstration of like 10 people or less sometimes.  It is so dumb.  Today, they had a flash that a small Arab nationalist Tunisian party was calling for the defense of Libya against Western colonial powers--the same colonial powers that Qadhdhafi has been cuddling and courting for years now.
