An observer in Jordan sent me this (he/she does not want to be identified): "Notice how in her tweets on Tunisia and Egypt, Queen Rania has wished for "security & prosperity" and "stability and calm," but never for "freedom" and "democracy." And in her Arabic tweet on Egypt she wishes for "amn wa istiqrar." Isn't it a revealing word choice? She does not congratulate the people of those countries for ridding themselves of oppressive tyrants. Of course she cannot wish for others what she and her husband actively deny their own people. So she uses the American and Israeli language of "stability":"
