I can't keep up

I spent my life waiting for regime changes all over the Arab world, and now I can't keep up with all that is going in the region.  When I was a teen ager, I would often be awakened to noise of gunfire: frequently, it was: Sadat was assassinated or Hafidh Al-Asad was assassinated.  These were celebrations based on rumors, although Sadat was eventually assassinated.  But there has been stagnation for too long, and Arabs have almost lost hope in the ability of changing their governments and now this.  Let me say this: if it was not for US/EU support, most Arab governments would not have survived to this day.
