How the New York Times inserts the lousy Elie Wiesel into the Egypt story

I mean, who but the New York Times would think of inserting the lousy Elise Wiesel--a man who had praised Sadat--into the Egypt story?  What is his relevance, please explain.  (thanks Jar)
