And then came Bahrain

Worse than Aljazeera Arabic which has for all intents and purposes did a lousy job in covering (or not covering) developments in Bahrain, Saudi media ignored the Bahrain story altogether save rosy pronouncements by regime propagandists and accusations of Iranian conspiracies.  They had to ignore Bahrain: Saudi media (especially the propaganda outlet of Prince Salman and his sons, Ash-Sharq AL-Awsat) have argued since Tunisia that what is happening is a feature of Arab republics, that Arab monarchies are virtuous and safe.
