The US does not interfere in Lebanese affairs?

The State Department spokesperson this week stated categorically that the US is not interfering in Lebanese internal affairs.  Today, the joke is this: the US ambassador traveled through the snow storm to Zahleh to meet a a minor MP (Niqula Fattush) because she--according to Fattush himself--wanted to pressure him to not vote with the opposition in the formation of the new cabinet.  Hasan Nasrallah just made a note of that interference in this speech.
