Irony: the Syrian regime seems more secure than the pro-US dictatorships

It is rather ironic, is it not?  Of course, I want the Syrian regime to be overthrown and I wish for the Syrian people to succeed in ridding themselves of that regime but it seems--at least seems--that the Syrian regime appears less insecure than the pro-US Arab dictatorships.  Oh, and Gulf dictatorships also seem secure too for the time being.  The US would deploy troops to save House of Saud, I bet.
