"Switzerland will hold a referendum next week in which voters will be asked to decide whether foreigners who have been found guilty of murder, rape, drugs trafficking and other serious offences should be deported. The proposal comes from the conservative Swiss People’s Party (SVP) – the country’s largest. Last year the SVP backed a referendum banning the construction of new minarets on mosques in Switzerland."
