From George Habash to his daughter

This is a letter from George Habash to his daughter from 1970. Somebody needs to send me a translation to post for people to see the quality of this man.

PS Najib kindly provided this excellent translation. Do you see now why I so admire this unusual man?

"My beloved Maysa’
All the kisses my beloved.. the warmest and most innocent of the kisses that you have known and
that start with your soft hair and end in kissing your toes. And with my kisses, daddy, all my
longing and sighs… to you my beloved and to your sister Lama.
Daddy, I read your letter, the most beautiful letter in the world only second to your mom’s of
course. Why do you say that you cry from time to time why? Why daddy? Oh soul of my heart.
Do you think I am far from you daddy? Oh Maysa’ you are mistaken.
Daddy I am always with you. My spirit is with you everyday, my heart is with you every day.
Aside from time at work my mind is with you all. I am with you daddy always…. At school, the
school bus and at home. … and on Sundays.. rest assured.
I will try my best, my beloved, so you all can see me with your own eyes as soon as possible.
Do you think oh maysa’ that I like to be away from you daddy? Is that possible?? It is the
enemies of the peoples of the world , Israel and the reactionaries and colonialists. Because I love
you so much… and I love all the innocent ones like you that I left you to fight these enemies and
protect you and all children from their evils and injustices and savageries. And when you grow up
and get to grade ten I will explain everything to you.
I want you to write me about all Lama’s (other daughter) jokes and moves, and I want you oh
beloved to love your mother much more than me because she is a million times better than I and a
thousand million times more beautiful than I am of course.
Kisses yet again
Until we meet
Daddy"
