I am rather surprised (or not) by the strong negative reaction to my article in Al-Akhbar today by family and close ones. Arabic sites that regularly and consistently carry my article have avoided it this time. And to my surprise, the Saudi sleaze website, Elaph carried it and to my astonishment it did not delete the references to the Saudi princes. I think that a writer should never worry about offending readers. Nay a writer should make sure to offend his/her readers.
