New York Times' standards on Israel nuclear weapons

Notice that whenever there is a reference to Israeli nuclear weapons (which are, to put mildly, far ahead in terms of research and production than Iran which does not have nuclear weapons as far as we know), the editor of the times add this: "Mrs. Clinton did not answer directly about Israel, which has never confirmed its nuclear-weapons status." Meaning, the Israeli propaganda perspective is consistently stated no matter how ridiculous. I mean, the New York Times carries almost daily stories about Iranian nuclear program, and you would not see daily references to a statement along the lines of "And Iran denies it has any nuclear capability or weapon ambition". But when it comes to Israel, it is a different story altogether. I mean, last week, the Letters to the Editor section of the Times was devoted to comments about Iran and nuclear weapons. Imagine if the New York Times were to open it section to comments by readers about Israeli nuclear weapons. Why? It is racism and religious bigotry, pure and simple. The New York Times believes that nuclear weapons in the hands of a Jewish state are safe, and that they are not safe in the hands of an Islamic state. Pure and simple. But there is another element: when Israeli denies it has nuclear weapons, everybody knows that Israel is lying, but the New York Times chooses to report Israeli lie (or lies) with a straight face, without any regard to the healthy skepticism of reporters, which is not directed against Israeli propaganda.
