Covering Iran

Since Iranian friends have asked me, I will state it again. Yes, I don't believe that you can rely on the New York Times or CNN to find out about developments in Iran. Furthermore, you certainly can't rely on Iranian state media to find out about developments in Iran. I have explained before that I have turned down invitation to speak to Iranian regime-controlled Press TV, Al-`Alam TV or Iranian state radio because 1) I have respect for the victims of the Iranian regime; 2) I insist on criticizing the Iranian regime if I appear on those media.
