Robert Fisk

I spoke last night to an excellent group of graduate students of Middle East studies from Western countries. They are part of a traveling study group. David, one of the students, told me Robert Fisk spoke to the group earlier and that he asked him about my criticisms of his article on Lebanese media because he can't understand Arabic. Fisk said that he is learning Arabic and can read it now. I told the group that a blender will go to any one whoever sees Fisk reading an Arabic newspaper without the assistance of Abed, his driver.
