The cleric and me
So I was on Hiwar Maftuh on Aljazeera last night. Lebanese cleric and preacher of the Jerusalem mosque in Sidon, Shaykh Mahir Hammud, was another guest, sitting next to me. He said that I heard that you were active with the left in Lebanon. I said: yes. Later, he leaned over and asked me: so you are secular? I said: yes, I am. He said: you mean secular, politically and socially? I said: yes, socially and politically. He said: so there is no religiosity in you at all? I said: no, there is no religiosity in me at all. He said: not at all? I said: no, not at all. He said: really? I said: really. He said: so you are totally secular in your personal life? I said: yes, I am totally secular in my personal life.
