When I write "thanks X"

Some people may have misunderstood. When I end a post by saying "(thanks X)" is it meant as a thanks to a person who sent me a link, and for that alone I thank them. I however am the one who writes the comments or criticisms or praise, as the case may be. I am the one responsible, for good or for worse, for the blog comments and postings.
