Only expensive prostitutes are allowed into Bahrain

"The small island kingdom began stepping up measures to curb prostitution last summer, rounding up and deporting scores of alleged prostitutes and banning one and two-star hotels from selling alcohol to prevent cheap flophouses from turning into brothels." A British flight attendant once described to me her ordeal in Bahrain while she worked for a British airline. She told me that she (and other colleagues of her) would receive an invitation to a royal yacht or palace and then would find herself among women invited to "entertain" a royal prince. And then they would offer prices for services required.
