NowHariri: Forever House of Saud (the case of Hazim Saghiyyah)
The propaganda services of Lebanese journalists are rather amusing, when you think about it. Hazim Saghiyyah (an ostensible liberal and a hard core Wahhabi in effect) was writing daily critiques of the Syrian regime UNTIL the Saudi King made up with the Syrian leader. His criticisms of Syria suddenly stopped (he also was criticizing Qatar daily, until the two governments reconciled). During the March 14 Batata and Hummus Revolution, Saghiyyah and others were showering daily praise on Walid Jumblat, praising his wisdom and foresight and even finding his racist outburst against the Syrian people cute and adorable. Now, that Walid Jumblat has shifted gear and resumed his past (fake) leftist pro-Palestinian rhetoric, the propagandists of House of Saud suddenly found fault in Jumblat, and suddenly remembered that he is a sectarian feudal leader. Look at this article. Four years later, Saghiyyah suddenly remembered that Jumblat's speeches from FOUR YEARS AGO were extreme and racist. It is all for you, o House of Saud. If House of Saud orders otherwise, they can easily shift and praise Jumblat again.
