Military training of dogs: not only in Israel

Dina sent me this (I cite with her permission): " I was reading your link about that israeli dog in Montana, mikey… anyway, israel is NOT the only place in the world that trains dogs for the military… that article is wrong. what about schutzhund in germany and the former czheckoslovakia? also look at our own military: here’s the history in the US. Also, I can brag about the famous Moroccan mine sweeping monkeys that were dispatched by King Muhammad to Iraq to support US invasion because he was too afraid of his own people to send troops. And the way the Moroccan army trains the monkeys is very impressive: they basically let them loose in the battle field and when a monkey explodes, they know that there is a land mine in that spot.
