I am not a fan of the last parliamentary election in Lebanon. It may have been the most corrupt election in Lebanese history, in terms of buying of votes and rigging voters's registration, or moving them to other districts to achieve sectarian preponderance for Hariri candidates. But now, the press office of Minister of Interior, Ziyad Barud, is claiming that he was "chosen" or "selected" as
Rank # I among world leaders in a British magazine. This is not a first. The governor of the central Bank of Lebanon annually claims that he was selected as the "best governor of a central bank" by some Italian magazine. What is wrong with those people? What is wrong with that society so eager for the approval of the White Man, and for invented honors and awards?
