It just occured to me: an exercise in measuring Arab public opinion

Take the two Arab countries that are officially aligned with Israel: Jordan and Egypt. Imagine if the Israeli ambassador in either country were to walk the streets of Amman or Cairo and introduce himself (they don't send women as diplomats except in a few token cases) to people on the streets. What would happen next? I rest my case.
