Salam Fayyad

I know that the US government has already picked Salam Fayyad as the successor to Abu Mazen as the chief PA puppet/collaborator-in-chief, and I know that Thomas Friedman has approved of the selection. But a problem faces Fayyad: he is hated in the Fath movement, and he has no roots or constituency there. Al-Quds Al-`Arabi had a report about move against Fayyad in the meeting of the Revolutionary Council of Fath, and he was accused of a coup plot.
