Hasan Nasrallah: on Virtue

Oh, no. Hasan Nasrallah started talking about virtue and advocating against drug use. He said that drug use is even worse than "illicit sexual relations", as if sexual relations are bad, or as if there is such a thing as "illicit" as defined by clerics and priests and rabbis. New TV (a secular, leftist, and anti-Israel station--my favorite TV news station in Lebanon) immediately cut off the live transmission when Nasrallah spoke against drug use. He said that drug addiction makes people spy for the enemy. What was that? I knew people who fought bravely against Israel and against Israeli militias in Lebanon and who enjoyed heroin and hashish on regular basis. And he even said that he is opposed to spreading or selling drugs to Israeli people, and denied Israeli claims that Hizbullah sneaks drugs into Israel. Why not? Why not tranquilize the Zionist nation? When Hizbullah talks about virtue, they don't know that they are only talking to themselves. No one wants Hizbullah to talk virtue, even, or especially those who are fiercely anti-Israel. Last time Hizbullah did a campaign of virtue in South Lebanon, people almost rebelled and the Hizb had to retract. I remember people were smuggling liquor in gasoline containers. Talking about virtue in Lebanon is like talking about patriotism and transparency with Muhammad Dahlan.
