Walid Jumblat: in concert

Matthew (a foreign correspondent in Lebanon) sent me this (I cite with his permission): "Asad, Walid Jumblatt was front row at the Palestinian Orchestra ft. Marcel Khalife concert tonight at Bet al-Din in the Shouf. At the end of the concert when people were all leaving a man rushed on stage and told everyone to wait to hear a message from Jumblatt that went something like: "The comrade Walid Jumblatt would like to send his regards to all those in Palestine. Palestine is saving the face of the Arabs." Then Noura Jumblatt went up on stage wearing a black and white kuffiyeh (I kid you not) and presented gifts to Reem Telhami (a Palestinian singer performing with the orchestra) and others."

PS Rami tells me that the man who rushed to the stage was none other than Hariri TV broadcaster, Zahi Wahbi (a former communist).
