Jalal Talbani

Jalal Talbani has been telling his life story to the mouthpiece of Prince Salman (Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat). It is a very interesting story of a very intresting man. To say he is interesting is not to praise him, as Rumsfeld was interesting too. Arab leaders are dictators who are not interesting. I mean, who would voluntarily spend five minutes with King `Abdullah (of Jordan of Saudi Arabia) or Bashshar Al-Asad? Really. Talbani however is one of the most unprincipled and opportunistic politicians of the region: I can only think of `Adil `Abdul-Mahdi as being equally opportunistic.
