Lebanese elections

As I promised, I shall be making minute-by-minute comments about the Lebanese election as of Sunday morning (my time). Amer wants to say this (but I said it before): that I had made a bet with As`ad--not me--that March 14 will win (the bet is worth $100 of Arabic sweets). I stand by my prediction. But if the opposition wins, it will be despite (not because) Hizbullah speeches in the last few weeks by Hasan Nasrallah and Na`im Qasim. Hizbullah has hurt the opposition in this election, and it could be on purpose to avoid the burdens of governance.
