George Ghanim
If you are watching LBC-TV, George Ghanim (who is the chief political director for the station), is offering the main analysis of the election. I was looking into my archives recently and found that he used to write in the magazine of the Lebanese Forces, Al-Masirah, back in 1987. I also saw a picture of Pierre Dahir in a command meeting of the Lebanese Forces. (Dahir is CEO/director of LBC TV). Having said all that: Samir Ja`ja` (Ga`ga` in Egyptian accent) hates Marcel Ghanim and his brother George. He accuses them of cozying up to the Syrian regime duing the years of their domination in Lebanon. Ja`ja` (or Ga`ga` in Egyptian accent)'s wife, Strida, also claims that they did not use to return her phone calls. But Dahir supports the Ghanim Brothers (not to be confused with the Marx brothers).
