Definitions in the New York Times

Michael Slackman defines Hizbullah: "Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy force in Lebanon." I wonder if he would define Muhammad Dahlan Guards as "Israel's proxy force in Lebanon," or Hariri militia as "Saudi Arabia's proxy force in Lebanon", or Awakening Militias in Iraq as "US' proxy forces in Iraq", etc.
