Freedom and sovereigny in Iraq

I can't think of a country with more sovereignty or freedom than Iraq-under-occupation. I really mean that, and I am not joking. Officials persuaded a judge to dismiss the case and release him, the colonel said." Don't you like the reference to "Officials persuaded the judge"? What kind of persuasion was that? If this is not a blossoming democracy that the US has so generously constructed in our lands, nothing is.
