Conspiracy in Moldova
"The protests have exposed a split in Moldova, the first post-Soviet state to vote Communists back into power. Mr. Voronin was elected president in 2001 on a wave of deep disappointment that the Soviet collapse had brought Moldova little but poverty, corruption and civil war." This sentence explains it all. The US will not allow a former communist government to return to communism. I strongly suspect an American conspiracy in that small country which is looked at with disdain by its neighbors. We now know how hard the US fought to prevent any democracy in post-WWII to produce a communist government. It is fair to say that no election in Italy after 1945 was truly free and fair: the US interfered in Italy's elections consistently through bribes and intimidation and threats to deny victory to the communists.
