Al-Jabiri admires Muhammad Ibn `Abdul-Wahab

The transformation of one of the most prominent Arab thinkers, Muhammad `Abid Al-Jabiri, has been stunning. I mean the man went through Marxism and then Arab nationalism (he was a staunch Saddamist in 19991), and now through Salafi Islamic fundamentalism. His latest book on the Qur'an is dedicated to Prince Talal. He recently visited Saudi Arabia and expressed his admiration for Muhammad Ibn `Abdul-Wahab.
