On Philp Rizk
Many readers, including dear friends, wrote to me about two posts yesterday about Philip Rizk. One of them was written by a reader. I think many have missed the point. It was not about or against Philip: and I only hear the most wonderful things about the man. It was about the discriminatory repressive policies of the Mubarak regime, and it was about the white supremacist standards of the Western press which did not know that 7588 Muslim Brothers were arrested in Egypt last year alone. But don't get me wrong: if you were bothered--as you should have--by the arrest of Rizk and not bothered by the arrest of 7588 Muslim Brothers last year, you need to ask yourself questions.
