Now Bassem Mroue of the AP

"Police fired tear gas on Sunday at scores of demonstrators rallying against Israel's ground offensive in Gaza as the protesters tried to reach the U.S. Embassy compound north of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. Thousands also held an anti-Israel demonstration in Turkey as news coverage of the invasion, launched late Saturday, dominated Arab satellite television stations. Many of them, including Al-Jazeera, are showing live footage of the Gaza Strip and airing interviews with wounded Palestinians.Israel's weeklong aerial bombardment of Gaza and the start of the ground offensive Saturday have sparked strong condemnation across the Muslim and Arab world."" Bassem Mroue is quite annoying in this article of his. First, he does not tell you that Lebanese communists and leftists led the protest outside the US Embassy in Beirut, and yet when he referred to another protest in downtown Beirut he identifies the protesters as "supporters of Hamas and Lebanon's Islamic Group". So why do you only identify them when they happen to be Islamist (and why are my words appearing in blue?) Also, later in the article he adds: "Hamas is opposed to any peace settlement with Israel and calls for the destruction of the Jewish state." Oh, really Mr. Mroue? Why don't you add an editorial description of Israel every time you mention it as: "The state that destroyed Palestine and is intent on rejecting any peace settlement with the Arabs"? (thanks Olivia)
