Mahmud Amin Al-`Alim

I did not have a chance to write about Egyptian Marxist intellectual, Mahmud Amin Al-`Alim. He was repressed under Nasser and was later repressed under Anwar Sadat. In recent years, he developed those annoying "liberal" tendencies that fill the op-ed pages of Saudi Wahhabi newspapers.
