Bassam Abu Sharif

Bassam Abu Sharif has been making noising and has been yelling in support of the resistance and he has been denouncing and condemning. He has also warned that Israel is attempting to impose its own "president" of the PA. He should have noticed that much earlier. Bassam Abu Sharif's criticisms are not the product of a principled position. He has been an enthusiastic champion of Oslo, and he established close ties with key Israeli military people during `Arafat's times. His criticisms should be understood in the context of his marginaliztion by the Abu Mazen-Dahlan clique since Arafat's death. They always hated him but Arafat insisted on keeping him as an advisor, and now he is desperately seekining...a role, not Susan.
