Writer?

"The idea that someone who stumbled into a sound bite can be published, and charge $24.95 for said words, makes so many real writers think the world is unfair." I disagree here and I think the word of writing should welcome people from different modes of life, especially from those professions whose members don't get access to the public sphere. Of course, the Joe in question is an annoying nuisance whose musings about socialism are as ignorant as Thomas Friedman's musings on the Middle East. (thanks Sinan)
