Lebanonesia and the shoe

Lebanon would like to inject itself into every story. An-Nahar almost claimed that there was Hummus on the moon when Neil Armstrong first stepped foot there. Yesterday, As-Safir reported on its first page, no less, that the shoe was in fact purchased in Beirut although it gave no evidence.
